Bill serves as the Youth Pastor.   He has earned a Masters of Divinity from Wesley Biblical Seminary.   Bill is driven in his role at OU by working alongside Jesus to help students come alive in their faith and grow in relationships in the broader church through experiences that build them up. He says he has two favorite parts of the job: seeing students receive Christ and grow in faith and working with an incredible team of adult leaders that carry students through middle school and high school in their life groups.   Bill loves the outdoors, rock climbing, and concerts!

Emilie serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Lead Pastor. She says she likes having a supporting role on staff because she’s not interested in being out front “at all.” She likes being in the background doing whatever she can to make sure our worship services, programs, and events run as smoothly as possible. Emilie’s favorite part of the job is sharing the load with some of the best people she knows: the OU staff. Her hobbies and interests include baking, walking her dog, and listening to music and podcasts. The OU staff says she makes some of the best cookies in town!

Barbara serves as the Director of Congregational Care.   She is driven by interacting with the people in our church and community. She strives to minister to the congregation through prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. Her favorite part of her position is meeting the needs of the people.   Her hobbies include photography and cooking, and she loves family gatherings!

Pat Forrester

Ministry Coordinator: Serve Teams, Local Outreach, Caring Ministries

Pat serves as the Ministry Coordinator for Missions, Volunteers, and Outreach.   She is driven by the search for spiritual connection with God, the desire to have God dwell in her life, and the knowledge that it is He who sustains us. This drives her to make disciples of Jesus and spread His love! Her favorite part of the job is being able to work with different people (of all ages) in the church and community. She cares about working in all areas including the Pantry, building beds for kids, cooking for congregational care, and especially being a part of Sunday worship.   Pat says her hobbies used to be camping, canoeing, and hiking, but now it looks more like glamping, floating, and walking.

Donna serves as the bookkeeper.   She is driven by pleasing the Lord and knowing that this is where he has placed her. She says that she is a numbers girl and “a little OCD”, so recording deposits and paying bills are her favorite.   Her hobbies include baking and quilting.

Cody serves as the Director of Worship & Communications at OU. He is passionate about helping people connect to the Lord and one another through worship and storytelling. His favorite part of the job is working at a church that has vision beyond just our little block in downtown Oxford. He says he used to have hobbies. Now he has kids. He loves spending time with his wife and 4 kids. He has a lot of chickens, and he firmly believes that baseball is the greatest sport. Cody serves as the Director of Worship & Communications at OU. Wes serves as the Associate Pastor and the Discipleship & Missions Pastor.   He has earned a Masters of Divinity from Wesley Biblical Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary specializing in Youth, Family, & Culture).   Living out the call of Jesus to make disciples and be witnesses in the world through discipleship and missions, and helping equip the local church to do the same drives Wes in his role. His favorite part of the job is getting to relate and walk with OU members at all stages of life from kids to senior adults. He also feels blessed to have the incredible privilege of teaching, preaching, and leading in this community.   His hobbies include fitness, outdoor activities, and reading. He is a huge fan of The Office!

Chris serves as the Director of Finance & Operations. He strives to be a good steward of the church’s finances and property, and to put efficient systems and processes in place so that the staff and congregation can all lean into the mission and ministry that God has planned for OU. He likes working on a daily basis as part of a team with our church staff and leadership and also enjoys working on the complex challenges entailed in ensuring that OU continues to grow and thrive as an anchor institution in our community. Chris likes to ride his bike, attend SEC sporting events, hang out in the backyard with his family (and dog), and listen to music!

Director of Traditional Worship & Organist

  Anita serves as the Organist and Director of Traditional Music.   Worship drives her in her role at OU. She frames her role at OU around John 4.24: “God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” Her favorite part of her position is leading God’s people in song. She believes that music is the language of the soul and that it often touches the soul where mere words cannot.   Her hobbies and interests include cooking, reading, and trying to grow flowers that deer won’t eat!

Director of Preschool Programs

Dusti received her Elementary Education degree from Delta State University (Fear the Okra!). She has been a military spouse for over 24 years and has been so fortunate to gain experience through teaching and volunteering in schools and civic organizations in the US from coast to coast.
As our new Director of Preschool Programs, Dusti is excited to guide and support the amazing teachers at Discovery Day School and First Discoveries! She also looks forward to the opportunity to establish and develop relationships with Discovery families.  After teaching in both 3’s an 4’s classes at Discovery Day School, she quickly learned this is a very special place with loving families and the sweetest and brightest children.Her hopes for OU’s preschool programs are that we can continue to grow and have a positive impact on the Oxford community by providing children their first school experience in a safe and loving environment. She wants children to know school is a place of joy and exploration where they can learn what a school family means and where their spiritual growth is nurtured. In her free time, Dusti enjoys baking, cake decorating, all crafts and any activity with her husband and daughters.

Miranda is OU’s Discipleship Administrative Assistant. She is a graduate of  Kansas State University and also teaches private piano and voice lessons. She previously worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Music and Fine aArts at Howard Payne University and she’s looking forward to putter her organizational skills to use here at OU.  Her hobbies are shopping, participating in community theatre musicals, anything musical (80s music is her favorite), listening to audio books/podcasts, spending time with family and friends. She and her husband Brent have been married for 27 years and have two children, Ava and Deacon.

Chris serves as the Lead Pastor at OU.   He has earned a Masters from Candler School of Theology and a Doctorate from Duke Divinity School.   Seeing people discover the life that really is life as they encounter the mercy and hope of Christ afresh and begin the work of aligning their story with God’s story drives him in this role. He loves that the Church is one of the few institutions that works with people “from womb to tomb.” He loves to be part of building up a community of people from every generation and sector (small business owners, educators, politicians, health care providers, attorneys, entrepreneurs, real estate brokers) who are eager to integrate life, faith, and work/school for the common good.   Chris’ hobbies include reading, mountain biking, cooking, and traveling - especially to the mountains! He loves spending quality time with his wife and kids.

Staff Dog

Maisie is the unofficial Staff Dog at OU. She loves people, treats, people with treats, and sticks. She also loves playing with kids--especially when she gets to run around the playground. Her hobbies include long walks, rolling down hills, trying to chase squirrels, chewing on sticks, and getting treats.
