Good Friday Tenebrae Service

Tenebrae, which means shadows or darkness, is a service which commemorates Christ’s Passion. It’s most significant feature is the gradual extinguishing of the candles on the altar, with the smaller candles representing the apostles of Christ, and the larger candle representing Christ.

OU’s Tenebrae service will be Friday, April 19, at 7:00 PM in the Traditional Sanctuary.
