MINISTRIES - ADULTS
Feasts and meals are very significant throughout the Bible…they include covenant and fellowship meals. They are interactive meals shared in joyful and mutual celebration with the Lord and with one another. The Gospels clearly show how “table fellowship” was a focal point of Jesus’ ministry – Luke records at least ten meals that Jesus shared with people…even after his resurrection. The Bread Breakers is designed to take advantage of this Biblical teaching. We are organizing clubs so members of our congregation can get to know each other better and celebrate with the Lord and each other.
Format:
- A small group of people (8 or so) who meet monthly for a meal.
- Groups will change every 4 months (roughly following the semester schedule). The re-shuffling of people will allow us to get to meet more people!
- Each group will have a coordinator/contact person as well as host(s) for each monthly meal.
Sign-up begins Sunday, July 29. Registration forms will be available at all worship services as well as in the church office.

Primetimers’ Potluck
Primetimers meet the third Friday of the month at noon in Wesley Hall for a meal and program.
This group of older adults also takes trips throughout the year.
Prayer Team
OU’s Prayer Team meets every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Prayer Room (next to the church office)
and prays for church members, family and friends on our prayer list.
Walking Club
The Walking Club is a group of older adults who meet every morning, Monday-Friday at 8:00 a.m. to walk around our Walking Track (second floor of the Activities Center). The Walking Track is open all day for walkers, 8:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
Chancel Choir
Adults who wish to sing in the Chancel Choir can contact our Director of Music, Lee Uhlhorn (607-0181, leeuhlhorn@gmail.com). Chancel Choir meets Wednesdays at 7:00 in the Choir Room.
Celebration Ringers and Genesis Ringers
OU has two bell choirs—Genesis Ringers for beginners and Celebration Ringers for those with bell choir experience. Celebration Ringers meet Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. in the Bell Choir Room (second floor of the Activities Building) . Genesis Ringers meet Sundays at 5:30 in the Bell Choir Room.
